Acceptance is about coming to the realization that our decisions and actions play a role in how we do with networking.  It’s realizing that we ultimately hold the key to whether or not we are effective with making connections with others.

This can be a touchy subject because it’s a double edged sword.  On one hand, it means that we are accountable – we are what we do and it something doesn’t go well, we have to own up to the idea that the responsibility for performance is on us.  On the other hand, it also means we have the power to make the change, need to be aware of any changes, and that we actually take action to that end.  It means that other people can’t prevent us from making a difference in our lives.  We hold the keys.  The question is: do we use them?

This is all a part of the Authentic Networking System.  Learn more about Authentic Networking at the Professional Networking Workshop on Nov 6th.
